Woof and wander – discovering Frankfurt with your best friend at your side
There is at least one convincing argument to visit Frankfurt when you view it from a dog’s perspective: Frankfurt sausages were invented right here in our fair city, and you can even get organic sausages at the Spahn butcher shop on Berger Straße. Pretty convincing, isn’t it?
In all seriousness, though, we think Frankfurt is a great place to explore with a dog. Our city has plenty of green areas and open spaces for them to run around in. Leashes are not required in large sections of Frankfurt’s GrünGürtel, or green belt, and the same applies to the municipal woodlands. But that’s not all: Dogs also travel for free throughout the RMV public transportation system.
Four-legged friends are explicitly welcome at Villa Orange! Our team is very dog-friendly and hotel owner Christiane Hütte is an avid dog lover herself. Labradoodle Daisy is always very happy when new doggie guests arrive, and she
views it as her job to be the welcoming committee. If it is not too busy, your dog is also welcome to join you for breakfast. And when the occasion arises, you are welcome to take a walk with Daisy and Christiane Hütte. Dogs are equally welcome in the traditional apple wine taverns in Alt-Sachsenhausen. Experiencing art and culture together, sleeping soundly at Villa Orange and shopping for delicious organic frankfurters.
