Christiane Hütte
“I want to share with my guests all the things that make me feel good too.”
Christiane Hütte first studied business administration and then worked for several years in market research as an account manager responsible for studies. In 1996 she decided to make her dream of her own hotel come true. The idea matured on a longer backpacking trip through Australia and New Zealand, during which she stayed overnight in lovely bed & breakfasts and backpacker hostels. Such small, private hotels with modern furnishings and personal charisma were non-existent in Frankfurt at that time. The market niche of the charming business hotel was born!
Now she just had to find the right property. Not so easy. Parallel to her search, the career changer gained valuable professional experience as a “girl Friday” in two hotels in Frankfurt. In January 2000, after a two-year renovation phase, she opened Villa Orange in Frankfurt’s Nordend. The topic of sustainability has been close to her heart for a long time, so it was only logical for her to have Villa Orange certified as organic in 2008.
Christiane Hütte is a gifted networker and member of the community of values of Bio-Hotels, the Umweltforum Rhein-Main and the Netzwerk Achtsame Wirtschaft (Mindful Economy Network). Christiane, an enthusiastic reader, has hosted the Literary Salon since 2003. It takes place monthly at Villa Orange, organized by Lothar Ruske, Regina Eisele, Christoph Schröder and Eldad Stobezki. Christiane relaxes by doing yoga and taking her Labradoodle Daisy for a walk.
