Sustainability and the conservation of resources

Our core values include sustainability and the conscientious use of resources.

We regularly check our operations in terms of water and energy usage, as well as keeping a close eye on our waste volume. We go without small packaging in favor of large containers, we purchase green electricity from EWS-Schönau, we use recycled paper and we prefer regional products.

This is independently controlled and confirmed by the eco-label ehc (eco hotels certified). Our recent results as part of the ehc certification showed an average CO 2 content of 11.49 kg per hotel guest/night. This makes us one of the most sustainable conference venues on the market (according to a study by the hotel and restaurant association DEHOGA, the average for conventional venues is 27.5 kg).
